TVXQ prove their star power, fan party in Taiwan a great success

11:20 AM

Following Beijing, Singapore and Shanghai, TVXQ brought their “TVXQ! Asia Fan Party 2011” to Taipei and proved once again why they are the best in Asia.

On the 10th of December, over 1,000 fans gathered at Songshan airport to greet Yunho and Changmin, setting a new record in terms of turnout for the airport. Once the two members appeared, both fans and media rushed forward, resulting in a chaotic situation.

Two sessions of the “TVXQ! Asia Fan Party 2011 in Taipei” were held on the following day at Taipei Show Hall 2 of Taipei World Trade Center, at 2.30pm and 7.30pm. About 10,000 fans were present, waving their red penlights and cheering to show their support, as the local media fought to get interviews with TVXQ.

Activities at the fan party included performances of “Why (Keep Your Head Down)”, “Maximum,” “Rising Sun” and “Before U Go,” a talk session and a bubble tea making session. TVXQ also showcased some of the Taiwanese dialect that they had practiced.

TVXQ’s title track “Why (Keep Your Head Down)” had dominated the Taiwanese charts when released, and resulted in an explosive popularity for the group. Their first live performance of the song in Taiwan blew the fans as well as the media away, with a passionate atmosphere worthy of a concert.

The group returned to Korea a day later, December 12th, and is currently preparing to greet their fans once again via the year-end programs in both Japan and Korea.
