Huh Gak shares his thoughts on turning over his crown as “Superstar K” champion
Huh Gak, who was the champion of ‘Superstar K2′, expressed his thoughts on turning over his champion crown to ‘Superstar K3′ winner Ooh La La Session. He stated, “It feels nice but also a little sad to turn over the winner position”
He continued, “Over this past year I tried my best to be recognized as a singer rather than an audition program winner. But even so, the fact that someone else has taken over my position makes me feel weird. Today is also the one year anniversary of the day I debuted with ‘Whenever‘. It’s a very unique time of the year for me in many different ways.”
He also shared his thoughts on performing “I told you I wanted to die” on the final episode of ‘Superstar K3′ stating, “I was very excited but at the same time was also very nervous. Exactly one year ago, I remember I was extremely busy with preparations. But I did think about how this day will come. I feel very honored to give a special performance for ‘Superstar K3′. I originally did not plan on doing any activities with this song, but because of the positive feedback from the public, I really want to sing it as many times as I can.”
He also noted his surprise to how impressive the contestants of ‘Superstar K3′ were. “I thought that groups were at advantage and just like my prediction, there were a lot of group contestants at the top. As a solo singer I strongly rooted for Christina.”
When asked “What do you think it would’ve been like to be one of the finalists alongside Oh La La Session and Busker Busker?“, he laughed and showed a modest attitude saying, “I’ll be the first one to be eliminated.”
He ended by stating, “About ten years ago, I actually saw Oh La La Session perform. The leader was such an amazing dancer. To this day, I’ve never forgotten them, and when I saw them we greeted and talked together.”
